MSC in Psychodrama

OSPIP are currently in discussions with the University of Worcester with a view to entering into a partnership to provide an MSc in Advance Social and Health Care (Psychodrama Psychotherapy). This will combine a full professional training as a psychotherapist with UKCP registration with a research based MSc qualification.

Diploma in Psychodrama Psychotherapy

We are currently running a diploma in psychodrama psychotherapy which is accredited by the British Psychodrama Association and leads directly following qualification to registration with the UKCP as a psychodrama psychotherapist. The course normally lasts for a minimum of four years, part time study. Further information is available in the Course Handbook, which can be downloaded from the Resources area of the site.

Weekend Workshops

We run weekend workshops that are open to people not on the diploma course. Most are on psychodrama, sociodrama or related subjects but we also run specific workshops such as training in the use of the SCID 2, personality disorder structured interview and other specific topics. Some weekends are only available to psychodrama trainees and practitioners or those considering training.

Residential Workshops

We run longer residential psychodrama training workshops in May and November of each year in collaboration with the Birmingham Institute for Psychodrama. Places can be booked through OSPIP or BIP.

Introduction to Psychodrama

This is a ten week course in the evening that provides an introduction to psychodrama, sociodrama and sociometry. Each week has a theoretic presentation and an experiential session, where participants can get direct experience of psychodrama and psychodrama techniques some of which can be adapted to be used in the workplace.

Psychodramatic Body Work

Some of our workshops incorporate aspects of psychodramatic bodywork development by Susan Aaron from Toronto in Canada. We encourage people to attend both the Introductory and Intermediate level workshops which are 3 days each.
